I am an artist and educator, born in Peru, with a Masters
from California College of the Arts. I
have been teaching art through City College's Older Adults Department, and San
Francisco State University's OLLI Program.
My classes include printmaking, portraiture, collage, and introduction
to art. I was the founder and director of
Ruth's Table, an intergenerational art center rooted in the art and life of renowned
artist Ruth Asawa. More recently, I have
designed an art kit for people with dementia that is currently sold all over
the world. My current project, with the
Sanchez Art Center, has been to design, and distribute mini art kits during the
pandemic to low-income seniors. I had a
one-person show at the Peninsula Museum of Art in 2019 and was part of the
“Creative Citizen in Action” exhibit at the California College of the
Arts. My prints, paintings, and
sculptures are in private and corporate collections. A number of my prints were chosen to
illustrate the poetry collection Gravity,
by Elisabeth Rosner.
